Clubface awareness during your forward swing is the key to overcoming a hooking issue. Regardless of your grip style, if you allow the clubface to reach the ball closed to the intended line of flight, the ball will hook. Intentionally holding the face open through impact is a starting place. It may be easier to practice small swings first, even chipping a few balls with a 7 iron while intentionally holding the clubface open to the intended target will go a long way in producing the feelings necessary for you to make the same movements as your swing gets longer.
