I have been hitting the ball very well and really do not want to do much in the off-season but practice. However, the problem I have been working on is the ball flight of my 6 through 3 irons ( 4, 5 and 3 are hybrids). The flight is straight and hard hit but the trajectory is low to medium. I would like to get the flight a bit higher to help me hold the greens. Any siggestions?

A higher ball flight can be attained through a shallow approach angle to a ball more forward in the stance. One way to practice this would be to mark your present ball position with a tee between the ball and feet. Then strike balls using a new position that is at least one ball forward of the tee. Be certain to emphasize a shallow swing path from inside the target line on the forward swing.
Another approach to gaining a higher ball flight would be to play a fade. An open clubface through impact effectively increases loft but you may have a tendency to lose about a half a club in distance.
In both cases I suggest you keep the forward swing path shallow and from inside the target line on the forward swing. If you allow the forward swing path to get too steep because of either the ball position change or clubface manipulation you will lose both directional control and distance.
On the equipment note, there are many new shafts on the market that can help create a higher launch in both irons and hybrids so it may be worth a visit to your local Certified Instructor or a call to Natural Golf (1-888-628-4653) to discuss possible options that
